- Steve Elliott grew up in rural Kansas, received a degree in Bible Education from Bob Jones University, and has taught and administrated in several schools in Maryland, Louisiana, and currently in North Carolina.
- He has been recognized in Who's Who both in college and as an educator six times.
- He has served on Accreditation Visitation teams, been the chair of various departments in his schools, including leading a school through accrediation successfully, and had extensive experience with teenagers both in and out of the classroom.
- He has spoken at national conferences on education.
- He maintains several blogs, writes teacher training materials, and has co-hosted an online "issues" show on Christian classical education.
- He taught full time for 7 years before spending the last eight years as the head of two different Christian Classical schools.
- He and his wife have four sons.
